PRIVACY POLICY
Summary
HodlingBTC uses two analytics services — Cloudflare Web Analytics and Google Analytics — to understand aggregate traffic patterns. Google Analytics places cookies on your device and sends usage data to Google. We do not sell or share personal data with anyone else, and we do not run advertising trackers or social plug-ins on this site.
What we collect
We do not directly collect personal information from visitors. Our analytics providers collect data on our behalf, as described below. The contact form is the only place where you may voluntarily submit personal data (name, email, message).
Cloudflare Web Analytics
We rely on Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics product that measures page views and basic traffic patterns without using cookies, without fingerprinting individuals, and without tracking visitors across other sites. Cloudflare collects aggregate data such as referring page, country, browser version, and request count for the purpose of providing the analytics service.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-S9HFHLE95F) to measure how visitors find and
use the site. Google Analytics places cookies on your device (typically prefixed
_ga) and sends information such as your truncated IP address, page URL,
referrer, device type, browser, and approximate location to Google. Google may use this
data subject to their own terms.
You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the
Google
Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by enabling your browser's "Do Not Track" signal,
or by blocking the googletagmanager.com domain in your browser or DNS

Cookie consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
Visitors located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland are shown a cookie consent banner the first time they visit the site. We detect the visitor's country using Cloudflare's edge geolocation; no IP address is stored by us as part of this check.
We use Google Consent Mode v2 with all consent signals (ad_storage,
ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage)
set to denied by default. Until you click "Accept", Google Analytics does not
place cookies or process identifiable data; it may transmit anonymous, cookieless pings
that Google uses solely to provide aggregate measurement (this is Google's documented
Consent Mode v2 behaviour). Clicking "Accept" updates the consent state to
granted and enables full analytics. Clicking "Reject" keeps all signals at
denied.
Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage (key
hodlingbtc_consent) for six months. You can change your decision at any
time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
Server logs
Cloudflare may temporarily process standard server log data (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) as part of delivering and protecting the site. These logs are not used by HodlingBTC for any analytics or tracking purpose and are retained only as required by Cloudflare's normal operational procedures.
Live market and filings data
When you load this site your browser fetches public market data and corporate filings from third-party sources (CoinGecko, Yahoo Finance, SEC EDGAR, and a small number of company investor-relations sites). Those providers may log the request as part of their own normal operations. We do not share any visitor data with them beyond what your browser sends automatically.
Contact form
If you submit the contact form on hodlingbtc.com/contact, your name, email address, subject, and message are forwarded to our inbox so we can respond. We use this information only to reply to your inquiry and do not add it to any mailing list. You can request deletion of your submission at any time by emailing us through the same form.
Your rights
If you are located in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction that grants statutory data rights, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Because we do not collect personal data through site usage, this in practice only applies to inquiries you have sent us through the contact form.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top.
